Investing towards an Energy Transition

Insight, an investment management company, collaborated with Yayasan Rumah Energi (YRE) to provide access to clean energy to 10 households in the form of the construction of 10 (ten) biogas reactor units with polyethylene construction model (PE) or commonly known as Biogas Mini Rumahan (BioMiRu) in Bilebante Village, Pringgarata Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency. This collaboration is not only oriented towards building biogas reactor construction, but also building understanding to users about the benefits of biogas as a whole in creating a household-scale circular economy scheme. This is the main principle of the program how to keep biogas reactors always useful and sustainable. This runs in line with the values that Insight has to provide sustainable social and environmental impact.

Since its establishment in 2003, PT Insight Investments Management has applied sustainability values into its business model. As an investment manager company that works hand in hand with individual and institutional investors, Insight wants to show that managing investors’ funds by prioritizing the principles of socially responsible investing and contributing to the achievement of 17 Sustainable Development Goals can have a social impact for communities in Indonesia. The commitment to implementing these principles has been stated in Insight’s tagline; Transforming Investments into Social Impact.

Insight understands that a business cannot survive without a sustainable environment. Overall, Insight has managed more than 50 mutual fund products with different social impact themes, such as education, social, environmental, and religious. These products can be selected according to the investment and social objectives of investors. In carrying out the Peduli Program, Insight has embraced partners who have expertise in the theme being promoted, including YRE.

From the management fees charged for each investment, Insight sets aside the company’s profit for the Peduli Program in providing a positive impact on the business being run. This proves that business is not always against sustainability, but can run harmoniously side by side.
