Cooking Up Profit with Renewable Energy Siomay

Menghasilkan Cuan dari Siomay Energi Terbarukan

What if renewable energy could support small businesses and cut household expenses?

Wisnu Aji, a dairy farmer living on the slopes of Mount Merapi, has found the answer through a simple yet powerful solution: household biogas. In addition to managing his farm, Wisnu also runs a siomay (steamed dumpling) business. What makes it special? He no longer relies on LPG to cook. Instead, he uses biogas made from his own livestock waste.

But the innovation doesn’t stop there. Wisnu also repurposes the leftover solid waste from the biogas process (bio-slurry) to fertilize his livestock feed crops. The result? A closed-loop system that’s both sustainable and efficient.

For Wisnu Aji, biogas isn’t just a source of clean energy—it’s a smart way to save on household expenses every month.

This story is a small reflection of what we call Indonesia Berdaya—a moment when access to renewable energy delivers double the impact: improving both the environment and family wellbeing.

💡 Clean energy doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it shows up in the simplest forms—with the biggest impact.
